Thanks to Sonya Swanson and the entire Northwest Iowa Community College team, exhibitors, speakers, including the dynamic keynote, Steven "Safari Dude" Fredlund, Welcome to the Safari Way, and donors, Chuck and Kathy Safris, for making the Reservoir Replenishing Retreat in Sheldon a huge success.
The Reservoir Replenishing Self-Care Retreats were first made possible by a Telligen Community Initiative grant. The first two events were held at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa and Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta, with 150 attending. The evaluations speak volumes!

Thanks to Indian Hills and Northeast Iowa Community Colleges for partnering with Iowa CareGivers to offer these two local level retreats to address the burnout that many direct care workers are experiencing. The agendas were full of educational programs and recognition to help give those in direct care tools to replenish their mental, emotional, and physical health.
THANKS TO FUNDERS: This project is funded in part by a Telligen Community Initiative grant to initiate and support, through research and programs, innovative and farsighted health-related projects aimed at improving the health, social well-being and educational attainment of society, where such needs are expressed.
We also thank Molina Healthcare for being a trusted partner for our caregivers and their families. We appreciate their continued support and understanding of the work we do to support those who give so much to others.
