This Mouth Care Matters (MCM) Employer Implementation Toolkit offers a path for health care, long-term care, and home and community-based employers to integrate oral health education and tools into their infrastructure so that persons they serve receive optimal oral care.

What’s included in the toolkit.
The Toolkit is designed to provide the following oral health tools to enable employers, regardless of setting, to integrate and sustain effective oral health practices:
Educational Sessions
Increasing oral health awareness through in-services and classes for your staff. “A greater understanding about the link between a healthy mouth and one’s overall health and well-being.”
Tools for Organizational Change
Tools to ready your organization for implementation including things like oral health assessments and care plans.
Educational Tools
Tools like posters, guides, and mirror clings that can be reproduced or ordered for your organization’s use.
Consumer Oral Care Kit
Ideas to create oral care kits for persons served to increase awareness about why oral care is important. Feel free to incorporate other tools from throughout the toolkit for consumer education.
Educational Resources
Reproducible articles, handouts, brochures, flash cards, a free app, and other resources suitable for staff and persons served.
Educational Activities
Fun tools for activities involving staff and persons served like puzzles, coloring sheets, myth vs. fact and others to increase awareness of the importance of oral health.
